Country Manager

Our client is a high profile exhibition organiser based in Italy, going through a significant expansion process abroad, by means of joint-ventures with global or local organisers. They run almost 50 exhibitions and 200 conferences a year globally.

In 2022 they will be operating in Germany, looking to build a local sales team to sell their international products to their German clients. They are looking for a Country Manager to build a locally based team to drive its commercial success, based in Munich or Frankfurt.

In this role, you will be responsible for exhibition and sponsorship sales revenue, developing industry relationships, developing strategy, key messages and identifying content targets. You will also be required to work with the marketing team in producing exhibitor promotion.

Based in Germany you will need to build a sales team around you recruiting, developing and motivating them and ensuring all targets are hit. Reporting to the International Development Director in Italy, you will need excellent sales and key account skills both face to face and on the phone, the ability to write highly professional sales proposals, ability to grasp the fundamentals of various industries and content and excellent attention to detail. You will also have a demonstrable track record of successful sales management and experience of running exhibitions and launching events.

Person Spec:

- Extensive experience in international exhibition sales

- Strong leadership experience

- Native or fluent German speaker, fluent in English and ideally knowledge of Italian.

- Analytical and organisational skills with a good propensity to work towards objectives.

- Knowledge of Office package, Outlook, Internet and Social networks, use of CRM software

- Knowledge and use of the main social tools.
