- Description
- Our Client has a diverse portfolio of B2C & B2B events, as well as digital products. The ideal candidate will be able to sell across platforms. Your role will be open to both progression and enlargement within other sectors and territories due to launches and platform diversification. As with all sales people, you will be responsible for your own core admin, but there is also an element of being a central support to the wider sales team and this will initially involve some processing, analysis and reporting functions as well as often being a day to day link to the other specialist departments in the business ie accounts, operations and marketing.
Event Stand Sales - predominantly B2C but also on B2B. This role will initially be mostly focussed on selling trade stands.
Digital Inventory and Bespoke Package Sales - we run a website and also hold a considerable amount of data on our digital audiences, allowing for digital only, and also multi platform sales.
Lead Generation - generating own leads using a combination of the sales database we hold, researching the sector market, attending competitor events, and keeping abreast of related brand campaigns and digital activity.
Sales CRM - become the main authority on the Sales CRM and extracting data and progressing its use in the business.
Attending Events - combination of working at our own events in a sales / exhibitor capacity (both exhibitor management and also rebooking) as well as wider event roles like feature management when required.
Canvassing competitor events for leads - Experience
- The role would suit a Sales Executive of 2 years plus experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to sell across platforms and will have likely been involved as a sales person on exhibitions / events selling stand space, or from a publishing and digital sales career.
Previous stand sales experience in both B2C and / or B2B events would be preferred, but not essential. 2 years minimum experience would be ideal. We would consider publishing sales experience if an understanding of exhibition stand sales can be demonstrated.
Previous digital sales experience would be preferred
Previous administration experience, ideally in a sales environment
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills
Comfortable working from home but coming to the office when needed. Independent worker, but ability to be part of team and contribute accordingly
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Team Player, positive, enthusiastic, dedicated, reliable, approachable, hard worker
Patient and good under pressure
Customer service orientated
CRM preference to Sales Force - Qualifications
- Excellent writing and communication skills. Must be confident on the phone.
Excellent computer skills – Google suite ideally / Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
