- Our Client is looking for a charismatic, passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who will strive to ensure their customers success.
This is a senior sales/account position,and your remit will be to maintain, retain and grow major customer accounts.
This is a strategic role within the business and vital to our Client's growth strategy.
As Key Account Manager you will be the face of our Client.
You are tasked with ensuring 100% satisfaction of leading clients and building deep and long-lasting relationships to help their business grow.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and develop long term relationships with key customers, developing contract strategy and maximising sales opportunities via focused key account planning and a project management type approach.
Generate new profitable sales opportunities (from initial prospect through to completion) within nominated key customers.
Define, develop, and achieve strategic customer KPIs, with a future focus on continuous improvement for the customer.
Develop and maintain a strategic key account plan for each account, which is regularly updated and communicated to the Management team and proactively managed.
Evaluate Key Account partner services to ensure our Client is perfectly aligned to customer goals. Initiate and recommend new ways of working.
To gather, record and disseminate relevant information and opportunities from customers, for use in determining sales tactics and market opportunities.
Preparation of detailed customer proposals and quotations focused towards a group wide approach.
Owner of training and onboarding for new team members and clients.
Active support of Sales Team & Managing Director on winning new key account business.
- Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience within the exhibitions industry, preferably on the Sales or Marketing sides of the business.
Proven sales track record of developing and effectively managing major accounts. Upselling and cross selling will be a core part of the role. - Qualifications
- Drive and enthusiasm, together with a good understanding of the events and exhibitions industry.
Ability to develop a customer strategy and demonstrate an understanding of how to measure and create milestones of success.
A self-motivated, target driven individual with the ability to understand a solution-based sale.
A highly proficient sales negotiator with the ability to maximise new business opportunities and cultivate customer accounts.
A fast learner with the desire to self-develop through training and information gathering is essential.
Sound technical knowledge.
The ability to articulate strategic and practical benefits in a simple and obvious way, in any setting, will be vital to prosper in this role.
Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings via development of effective and professional customer relationships.
Work closely and collaboratively with all parts of the team to ensure provision of a full solution for customers.
Display a professional and positive approach, maintaining and promoting team spirit, at all times.
Participate in the relevant sales, monitoring, and reporting systems
A confident and professional communicator at all seniority levels, both internally and with customers and prospects.
Presentation skills and an assured self-confidence to network with C-Level contacts.
Flexibility to travel to clients across the UK and internationally.
