- Description
This international business-to-business media group with interests in exhibitions, conferences, publishing and online media seek an experienced Event Marketing Manager to cover maternity leave for 9-12 months.
Purpose of job:
To deliver innovative international marketing campaigns to achieve event and publishing targets in the division.
Specific responsibilities:
▪ Implementation of communications plan for events and publishing divisions – direct mail, email, advertising, website and telemarketing to ensure all communication is delivered to an agreed timescale and within budget
▪ Proofing, editing and some copywriting
▪ Liaise with other departments, including design and production, systems, editorial, conference, sales and web team
▪ Brief creative teams, design direction of advertising, brochures, sales collateral, and onsite brochures at events.
▪ Management of the shows social media presence
▪ Liaise with external suppliers
▪ Liaise with authors
▪ Negotiation of media and association partnerships
▪ Maximise cross-selling opportunities across related events and publications
▪ Event support, including manning stands, media coordination and registration
Requirements/skills:
▪ Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
▪ Impeccable English (additional languages are an advantage)
▪ Experience of marketing exhibitions and/or conferences.
▪ Experience of marketing publications.
▪ Experience of marketing awards ceremonies
▪ Experience of marketing digital advertising products
▪ Financial/budget management experience
▪ Excellent proofreading skills
▪ Strong interpersonal skills
▪ Project and time management skills
▪ Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
▪ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)- Experience
