We are currently looking for an Event Director, this is an exciting opportunity to directly manage and develop the event the role offers fantastic scope for an experienced event director to hit the ground running. Our client is seeking an expert in the consumer events industry with strong people and team management capabilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create and develop new ideas for the event
- Maximise the business development opportunities for each event
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Marketing, sales and agent management
- People management and direction
- Budget creation and management
- Operational direction, strategy and industry positioning
- Delegate and encourage others to do so
- Act as a mentor to high potentials
- Coach at a range of levels on business and operational issues
Key Requirements:- 5-7 years’ experience within Events with 2-3 years project management experience.
- Full budget control and forecasting experience
- Exhibition management
- Flexible on working hours
- Good knowledge of and contacts within relevant industry sectors
- Proven track record with sales and sponsorship delivery
- Needs to develop an understanding of Salesforce
- Entrepreneurial approach
- Experience of international travel
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Regional experience helpful although not essential
- Converse with high level stakeholders
