Our client is an International Exhibitions and Publishing company, who have a portfolio of over 80 exhibitions per year. The role of the Digital Marketing Executive sits within the event’s global energy. This includes several of their high-profile and longest running events across the board.
This role requires the individual to develop effective digital engagement strategies as this is a critical part of the role and for future events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop, implement and sustain SEO and PPC Strategies
- Create and manage link building strategies, content marketing strategies and social media presences
- Develop strategies for the dissipation of engaging online content including clickbait, forums, videos, graphics, and blogs; monitor and analyse content success
- Work with the Content Manager to maximize the return on investment in our content materials
- Forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns
- Champion the group social media activities and raise the profile of the group brand across all activities
- Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant sites to measure the performance and drive traffic to event pages
- Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these innovative technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information.
- Work with PR company to ensure unified messaging and strategies
Key Skills and Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in marketing including a minimum of 3 years in digital marketing; events exposure if preferable also
- Experience of using Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Hootsuite, Typo3, SmartFocus, Hubspot, Adestra, Feathr, Ingo, Gleanin etc
- Experience in developing and managing email marketing campaigns, as well as analysing those campaigns to ensure their effectiveness
- Post-secondary education (preferred) or equivalent experience in website development, either creatively or developmentally
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation
- Highly motivated and proactive in researching and proposing new product opportunities for your assigned areas
- Lateral thinking and analytical skills
