- Description
We are looking for an experienced and confident Senior Sales Manager/Business Development Director to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering sales of event software as a service (SAAS) platform, as well as our research agency services to the international events and exhibitions sector. This will be primarily be focussed on winning new business as well as a healthy mix of account renewals and account growth.
Reporting into the Commercial Director you will develop and manage your own pipeline after a period of training and introduction to our products and services. There will be some international travel, and you’ll be expected to be able to deliver demonstrations and presentations with gravitas, enthusiasm and a dash of charisma.
This role will suit someone at Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager level looking for a step up into a rewarding role in a fast-growing company where their skills and experience make a visible difference.
Requirements:
- An experienced sales professional with a demonstratable track record of achievement
- A natural presenter to audiences large and small
- A high-quality networker
- Self-motivated and comfortable with working independently and structuring your own sales activities and pipeline
- Professional, articulate and compelling in person, by phone and by email
- Able to gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders and present confidently right up to executive level
- Able to buy into the businesses customer-centric culture
- Able to undertake some overseas business travel
- Comfortable with easy-to-use enterprise technology - we are a software platform and you’ll need to learn how to use it expertly
- Experienced to some degree in the events sector
- Experienced reporting your activity on CRM (Salesforce ideally)
- And we would be really excited if you were fluent in another language, particularly German, Russian, Mandarin, French or Spanish
