An exciting opportunity to work for one of the world’s largest exhibition organisers in its field. The position will require an experienced candidate with a strategic vision with the ability to oversee company needs, handle daily business issues and recognise business opportunities.
You’ll need to be a skilled General Manager with experience in B2B exhibitions & trade shows.
What you’ll be doing:
- Development of the new strategic activities in SEA-region
- Responsible for the Business Development in the region, evaluation of M&A opportunities
- Responsible for the Development and Execution of the company’s strategy and organization
- Networking activities
- Responsible for all Financial, Accounting, Tax and respective Reporting activities for the company
- Establishing and improving the competitiveness of the company, the business operation and the annual financial performance
- Representing the company to third parties on a national and international level
- Networking in Singapore and in the ASEAN Region
- Coordination and exchange of all business & financial information with the headquarters
- Ensuring that the company’s business & financial reports to the headquarters are accurate and completed on time
- Responsibility for the content of board meetings
- Manage a team of 9 based in Singapore & Hong Kong
Key Requirements:
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit & creative drive
- Solid strategical mindset
- M&A background and experience within banking, consulting and auditing
- Knowledge of the exhibition industry
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Intercultural understanding (Singapore & Germany)
- Finance, accounting and business controlling understanding on a management level
- Excellent English language skills
- Analytical skills
- Business sense in Singapore and SEA
- Willingness and openness to travel
- General management experience
- Profound experience in financial steering, processes & networking business
- Several years of professional experience abroad would be beneficial
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience as general manager or deputy general manager
- Master of Business Administration / Management, MBA or eq.
- Tax resident in Singapore (Must Criteria), no citizenship necessary
