- Work in collaboration with the CCO to support the delivery of our clients commercial strategy. The role holder is responsible for delivering a commercially focused marketing plan to support all revenue streams, including Exhibitions, Conferences & Events, ancillary services and Live Events & Attractions. On a day-to-day basis, work with the Senior Marketing Manager, who is responsible for activity including developing sales bids, participation at industry trade shows, e-commerce solutions, customer communications and data. The marketing team is also responsible for delivering marketing support to all clients ensuring that every event is maximised from a marcomms perspective.
Working with the PR & Communications Manager to deliver a proactive external communications strategy, including media relations, PR, social media and digital content. The role holder will be responsible for managing interviews with the CEO and other members of the Leadership team. In addition the role holder will also support the PR & Communications Manager, CEO, HR and Leadership Team in delivering internal communications, aimed at driving our clients culture, ways of working and internal engagement.
Plus working on brand reputation, stakeholder engagement, guest experince, be part of the leadership team, management of the marketing team and responsible for marketing budgets, - Experience
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Delivering commercially focused, strategic marketing and communications
External communications, including PR, crisis management and brand reputation
Internal engagement, culture and communications
Leading and managing a team
Previous experience developing and executing marketing and communication strategies with measurable business outcomes.
Able to demonstrate a solid track record of commercial marketing for business development within the events industry (from both new and existing clients), using a destination marketing approach.
Previous background in marketing strategy and planning with a range of marketing skills.
Good working knowledge of the market sector within which ExCeL operates.
Excellent grasp of Social Media and related technologies to be able to drive business performance.
Education:
Educated to graduate level, preferably in a marketing, communications or strategy discipline.
CIM qualification or membership status is desirable.
