A fantastic role for an experienced manager of project teams leading the direction of event management planning process. Overseeing a team of 15 event managers who deliver numerous events each year. A high profile position tasked with continuous improvement of the event management process ensuring client satisfaction.
The Role:
To provide leadership and support to a team of Event Managers, effectively line manage, providing training and development to retain a high performing team.
What you’ll be doing:- Responsible for creation, implementation and ongoing development of the event management process
- Management of key stages of the event planning process
- Ensuring the team meet the necessary Health and safety requirements
- Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders, investigating customer needs to deliver maximum customer satisfaction for organisers and exhibitors
- Monitor event reports and track costs ensuring profitable balance between event cost and delivery
- Accurate and timely completion of key reports
- Create a culture of learning, creativity and innovation
- Constantly keeping in touch of internal and external customers, considering long term business implications
- Providing direction for others, team building strategies ensuring two way communication to drive the team culture
- Monitoring and controlling resources, ensuring spending is in line with approved budgets
Key Requirements:
- Confident and personable disposition
- Degree education is desirable not essential
- NEBOSH or H&S qualification is preferable
